I thought I ought to shout out a big welcome to all the new subscribers since I posted the last episode. Listenership has gone way up and based on the download statistics, I know that a bunch of people are going back for the old stories too. So, hi there. Welcome. Enjoy the show. I should finish off the Duke & The Raiders with another one or two episodes. Then we can jump right into the next story. It will be another multi-part story. In which The Boy seeks out the Little People Who Wear Green and finds out a lot of things that you might be wondering. The picture foreground shows the Little People Who Wear Red hatching out of the striped eggs. Behind them are two pikers with a knight between them defending against the raiders. The raiders are the two dark figures with swords coming through the breached wall.

In which the raiders attack the Duke's castle and we find out what The Boy already knows about The Little People Who Wear Red. Our theme music also debuts. There is a lot of fighting and destruction in this episode. People hit with swords "fall down." They never explicitly die, but most kids will realize that is probably what happened.

In which the king sends The Boy to help The Duke defend his lands against raiders. Mysterious red & white striped eggs appear. This is the first podcast featuring an entirely new story. The first three podcasts in The Boy's Adventures were first told in the fall of 2006 and have been retold three or four times since then. Many things have happened in the roughly 200 improvised non-recorded episodes of The Boy's Adventures. Most relevant to this story, The Boy acquired a flaming sword, became a squire, and entered training to be a knight. The items inside the eggs previously appeared in several story arcs. You may find out more about them in the next few episodes. We make up these stories as we go along, so maybe you won't!
